All proceeds donated via Dana's site will go directly to the American Red Cross. Now, there are a LOT of worthy charities out there, but think back to all of the disaster-relief photos you've ever seen: I bet the only folks you've ever seen onsite immediately following a disaster are these folks. When my neighbors' house burned down a few years ago, a representative from the American Red Cross was here within an hour, bearing gift certificates and offering other assistance so my neighbors could buy clothing and have a roof over their heads. I'm partial to this organization also because they used to make me feel like a hero (and feed me killer sandwiches) just for laying still for 15 minutes. (I'm not allowed anymore, I'm a Mad Cow risk due to Junior Year Abroad in college; but I was a 5-gallon donor by the time they banned my donations.)
Go to Dana's and help those folks please. Worst case, you're a hero; best case, you get to snuggle with Dana's amazing starry quilt!
