Look Ma, I’m Famous!

There’s my Moby! I am so stunned and honored that he is considered good enough to hang out with such illustrious pieces. He was my first major beading project (I did one small goddess doll to practice), but I did put a lot of time and love into him so it’s wonderful to see him recognized in all his beastly beady goodness.

  1. Congrats on your publication!

I'm glad my change of block size helped you. I so wanted to do a bigger quilt, but was limited on fabrics. When I realized that I could change my block size (and use 5 strips instead of 6 - I like odd numbers), I was able to add some FQs and get the number of blocks I needed with almost zero leftovers. This is my first quilt, but I'm a stickler for the numbers...I sewed 5 strips together and realized I needed to lessen my seam allowance just a smidge to get a full 10.5 inches. Better to run a little bigger on width, than smaller. I'm almost finished cutting! Enjoy the quilt along!

  2. Wow, that's awesome!!! Do you have one copy of the magazine in plastic, one copy frameed, one copy in your craft space, one copy on the fridge, one in your purse.... I'd have many of them scattered everywhere to show off! Way to go!!!
