This year I am particularly grateful for my parents: for a father who passes me great books, helps me with block layout and keeps my debate skills sharp, and a mother who gives me a rock-solid base of love for myself and my offspring and gives the best embroidered gifts EVER. I've said it a zillion times: if I could have picked my own parents I couldn't have chosen better.
